Overview

The LRS-350-24 is a Mean Well LRS-350 series switch-mode power supply, taking 90-264 V AC (or 240-370 V DC) and delivering 24 V DC at up to 14.6 A, 350.4 W - a genuine third-party unit, not a Tiny Controls design.

At 24 V it sits between this catalogue's own S-250-24 (10 A, 250 W) and S-500-24 (20 A, 500 W) in current, useful where a machine's combined stepper-drive draw falls between those two ratings. The output voltage is adjustable via an onboard trimmer, roughly 21.6-28.8 V, for fine-tuning against a drive's actual input tolerance.

Overload trips at 110-140% of rated output power; on this model, an overload, over-voltage or over-temperature fault puts the supply into hiccup mode, which retries and recovers automatically once the fault clears - no manual reset needed. A thermally-controlled fan turns on around 50 ?C case temperature and off around 40 ?C, adding active cooling in a compact 215 x 115 x 30 mm, 0.76 kg case.

As with any stepper-drive supply, size current to the combined peak draw of every axis starting together, not the running average - a stepper drive's current spikes hard during acceleration.

Supplied by Tiny Controls in India.

Questions

What's the actual output current and power?

Up to 14.6 A continuous (0–14.6 A range), 350.4 W rated. This sits between this catalogue's S-250-24 (10 A, 250 W) and S-500-24 (20 A, 500 W).

What happens if the load is overloaded or the output is shorted?

Overload protection trips at 110–140% of rated output power. On this model (24 V), the supply enters hiccup mode — it retries automatically and recovers on its own once the fault is cleared, with no manual reset needed.

Who makes this — is it a Tiny Controls design?

No. It's a genuine Mean Well product (brand confirmed), supplied by Tiny Controls in India — not designed or assembled here.
