Overview

The OP-DRG-25x50xR100 is a plastic cable drag chain for routing motor, encoder and sensor cables alongside a moving axis without them dragging on the machine bed or tangling on themselves.

Its cross-section is 25 mm high by 50 mm wide, a middle width among the 25 mm-high chains in this range. The 100 mm bending radius sets how tight a loop the chain can fold into as the axis travels - too small a radius for the cables it carries can pinch or fatigue them over repeated cycles, so the radius should be chosen for the stiffest cable in the bundle, not the average.

It is supplied in a 1000 mm length and can be cut to size, in black plastic marked with colour dots for identifying chain segments during assembly.

Open-link construction lets cables be laid in from the side rather than threaded end to end, which matters when a cable already has connectors on both ends.

For a narrower or wider bundle at the same height, the OP-DRG-25x35xR75 and OP-DRG-25x100xR100 cover 35 mm and 100 mm widths.

This is the middle width among the 25mm-high chains — the OP-DRG-25x35xR75 is narrower, the OP-DRG-25x100xR100 is wider, both at the same 25mm height.

How should I actually pick the bend radius for my cable bundle?
